Students and their families were treated to a fabulous night of
story-telling last Wednesday night in our school library.
Guests followed a fire-lit path into our library which had been transformed into a wonderland with candles, fairy-lights, lanterns and lamps.
Everyone came prepared dressed in their pyjamas with plenty of
blankets, pillows and teddies to snuggle up with.
After lots of stories and a steaming hot milo everyone was well
and truly ready for bed and sweet dreams.

Thank you to all of the families and teachers who supported this event. What a way to celebrate Education Week and Read More In May!

Did you enjoy Story Night as much as we did? Let us know what your favourite stories were.

Well many people around the world will be celebrating Valentine's Day this Thursday by giving cards and gifts to family and loved ones. It is estimated that 190 million Valentines are sent each year in America! Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentine's_Day  to learn some more fun facts and history about Valentine's Day.
This Valentine's Day give a friend a good book recommendation. I absolutely loved, loved, loved
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo. I loved the language the author used in this book and the way she develops the characters. I never knew I could ever become so attached to a china rabbit...read it and you will understand! I was super excited to see a student borrow this fabulous book last week and can't wait to hear what she thinks.

What book have you fallen in love with and why?
